Swachhta Pakhwada

IMPHAL, Apr 1 : Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal has kick-started the Swachhta Pakhwada campaign from today.
In a statement, Media Advisor of RIMS Imphal, N Phillip Singh informed that the fortnight observance of Swachhta Pakhwada will continue till April 15.
 During the day's event, the Head of Dermatology Department and in-charge Medical Superintendent, RIMS Hospital, Professor Th Nandakishore Singh administered the 'Swachhta Pledge' to the faculty members, officers and staff of RIMS, Imphal alongwith the staff of CRED and Manipur Security Service in front of the OPD Block, RIMS Hospital.
 Professor Th Nandakishore Singh urged the faculty members, officials and staff to fulfil Mahatma Gandhi’s vision of 'Clean India' which was started as a large-scale mass movement.
The statement further added that a massive cleanliness program was also held in which the staff of CRED and Manipur Security Service also participated.
It may be mentioned that during the fortnight observance of Swachhta Pakhwada, the institute will be organizing various programs and activities, which include street plays, Swachhta Health Camps, poster campaign, sanitization drives, World Health Day, painting competition, tree plantation and cyclothon among others.
