Court directs

IMPHAL, Apr 18: Special Judge NIA Manipur has directed the Directorate of Health Services to constitute a State Medical Board to examine the accused Konsam Manithoi who had filed an application to release him on bail on health grounds today.
The direction was given after hearing the bail application filed by the accused today and May 2 has been fixed for report and hearing
Accused Konsam Manithoi (46), s/o Bihari Konsam of Leirikyengbam Leikai was arrested along with Lisham Ibosana alias Jojo (42), s/o Lisham Shamungou of Khongman Zone 3 by a special investigative team of Imphal West on January 25 last year on the alleged charge of hurling a hand grenade at Raj Bhavan on January 19 last year.
They were arrested along with eight circuit board and two remote control unit used in assembling improvise explosive device (IED) bomb from their possession.
In compliance with the Ministry of Home Affairs order the case was handed over to NIA from Manipur Police in the second week of March last year and a case was registered under Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA), Explosive Substance Act.
