UKLF Raising Day

IMPHAL, Mar 29 : The United Kuki Liberation Front (UKLF) Government of Khulmigam celebrated its 27th Raising Day at its designated Nazareth Camp GHQ, Muvanphoi in Chandel district today.
The function was attended by SS Haokip, chairman UKLF, Lt Col Khupmang home secretary UKLF, Kt Misao vice-chairman UKLF, Colonel Kennedy, chairman 27th Rising Day Committee, various village chiefs and CSOs from Chandel and Tengnoupal district.
SS Haokip hoisted the organisation’s flag and received guard of honour followed by chanting of the outfit’s anthem. Following this, he led the gathering in a two minute silent observance in remembrance of departed comrades and paid his respects to their families.
He also expressed gratitude and thanked God for his guidance and blessings.
He added that UKLF was formed on March 29, 1995 due to love for patriotism, nationalism and love for ancestral land and protection of people from external forces.
Sgt Maj Shongngam of the UKLF/GHQ delivered a vote of thanks that was followed by mass prayer under the guidance of GHQ chaplain, bringing the 27th Rising Day celebration to a close.
