Press sticker

IMPHAL, Mar 28 : The All Manipur Working Journalists' Union (AMWJU) has said the union will initiate a drive against unauthorised use of 'Press' stickers on vehicles.
AMWJU general secretary Khwairakpam Naoba said this in a press release issued today and added that unauthorised utilisation of press stickers is a challenge and violations of rights of working journalists.
Adding that AMWJU takes such unauthorised use of press stickers very seriously, the statement appealed everyone who is not a working journalist to not use the sticker. The press release also urged any person who has used a press sticker without proper authorization to remove the sticker within 7 days failing which AMWJU will raise a formal complaint to the Director General of Police for legal action against such individuals.
Some people with vested interest are engaged in unauthorised use of press stickers to defame the media community, added the press release.
