Farewell ceremony held

IMPHAL, Mar 27: A farewell ceremony of recently retired officers and employees of the Minor Irrigation Department was held at its campus at Lamphelpat yesterday.
The retired employees were honoured and presented with gifts in today's programme which was organised by All Manipur Minor Irrigation Department Employees Association.
Speaking as the chief guest, Secretary, Minor Irrigation, Chiphang Arthur Worchuiyo, IAS appreciated the efforts of the Department for organising the programme to acknowledge and honour the contributions of the retired employees.
He appealed to all concerned to ramp up the pension process of all the retired employees to ensure that they receive the pension at the appropriate time and assured of providing best possible help from his side towards the same.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Engineer, Minor Irrigation Department, H Brajendra Singh stressed on the need to deliver the due benefits to the retired employees at the earliest.
He further appealed to the Government authorities concerned to speedify the recruitment process to fill up the vacant posts at the Department.
