PREPAK celebrates Uprising Day
IMPHAL, Mar 26
The proscribed PREPAK celebrated the 42nd Red Army Uprising Day today, informed a press release issued by the outfit’s De-partment of Publicity and Propaganda, Publicity Officer Mangal Khuman.
The uprising day celebration held at the central headquarters was graced by Interim Council Chairman Aheiba Angom, Chief of Army Staff N Romi Meitei and Charge de’ Affairs, Publicity and Propaganda LeibaakNgaakpa Luwang as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.
Aheiba Angom opened the uprising day celebration by lighting up ceremonial lamps where floral tributes were paid to all the ‘martyrs’ who laid down their lives in the course of the liberation movement.
Aheiba Angom also gave a detail account of the achievements accomplished by the Interim Council since its formation. Red Army GSO-2 Major Rocky opening the uprising day celebration at the 701 Mobile Battalion by unfurling the party’s flag.  After offering floral tributes to the ‘martyrs’, the Interim Council Chairman’s message to the people was also read out there.
The Red Army Uprising Day was also celebrated at its 707 Mobile Battalion where Red Army GSO-3 Major Langamba unfurled the party’s flag.
The celebration culminated with a grand feast which was also participated by cadres and officers of fraternal revolutionary groups of WESEA, it conveyed.
