World Water Day observed

PHED Churachandpur in association with GSF and SAHEI Foundation under Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) on Tuesday observed World Water Day 2022 with the theme “Groundwater, making the invisible visible”.
As part of the observance, Khaikhopau Ngaihte, ADC Churachandpur also flagged off a motorcycle rally.
Speaking on the occasion, Ngaihte highlighted the importance of preserving water sources like rivers, rivulets and groundwater. He urged the people not to use poison or electric current while fishing, avoid dumping garbage in rivers or construction of toilets by the river banks.
