Vigilance probe urged
IMPHAL, Mar 17 : Special Class Government Contractor and Supplier Ph Adim has appealed to the Superintendent of Police, Vigilance to register a case against the PHED and investigate the alleged siphoning of the sanctioned money for the augmentation of Leimaram Irengbam Area Water Supply Scheme (NLCPR).
In a letter addressed to the SP Vigilance, the contractor claimed that he had completed the contract work viz augmentation of Leimaram Irengbam Area Water Supply Scheme (NLCPR) but the outstanding due amounting to Rs 32,11,740 has not been released by the authority concerned without giving any reason.
Saying that Manipur Human Rights Commission (MHRC) had also directed the authority concerned to pay the outstanding amount if the claim is found true, the complainant urged the SP Vigilance to look into the matter at the earliest.
As per the complainant, Leimaram Irengbam Area Water Supply Scheme was inaugurated on September 3, 2016.
