Inferno guts

IMPHAL, Mar 16 : Properties worth lakhs of rupees were destroyed when a fire broke out at Escent Institute of Paramedical Science and Skill Development at Sangaiprou area at around 2 pm today.
The fire destroyed furniture in 4 class rooms, items in the canteen and all items in the security room, staff room and boys' hostel before Manipur Fire Services brought the fire under control.
The timely action by the MFS team prevented the fire from causing any further damage and from spreading to nearby buildings. Though the exact cause of the fire is yet to be determined, it is speculated that an electric short circuit might be behind the incident. The institute belongs to one Thokchom Hogendro (57) of Kwakeithel Heinoukhongnembi Thokchom Leikai.
