Heroin seized

IMPHAL, Mar 16 : A team of NAB Police Station arrested 22 year old Tilkholen Haokip along with 50 soap cases of Heroin weighing 625 grams from Canchipur along the Imphal Moreh road at around 5.30 pm yesterday.
The team was conducting random checking of suspected vehicles at Canchipur as a part of NAB's continuous drive against illicit drug trafficking along different when Tilkholen Haokip  s/o Helminthang Haokip of New Somtal was found carrying the drug concealed in the fuel tank of an Eeco Van. A mobile phone, driving license and Aadhaar Card were also seized from his possession. A case has been registered with NAB PS for investigation. Preliminary investigation revealed that the contraband items were collected from his associate in Myanmar to be delivered at Senapati.
