CEO urged

IMPHAL, Mar 14 : Wungnaoshang alias Ashang Kasar, who contested the just concluded 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly election in 43-Phungyar (ST) AC has appealed the Chief Electoral Officer to  consider changes in providing voter information slips to voters.
Ashang Kasar submitted a written appeal to the CEO today and added that the issue of voter information slip made the election far from being free and fair as a person can cast as many votes for absentee voters or for other voters with the information slip in hand.
He also raised allegations that muscle and money power was used extensively to intimidate voters to surrender their information slip thereby denying them their voting rights.
