IMPHAL, Mar 14: The Socialist Students' Union of Manipur (SSUM) has pledged to continue to strive for an 'egalitarian society' during its 7th foundation day celebration held at Yaibilen Children Home, Keibi Khullen.
Addressing the gathering, Soraisam Yaima, president of SSUM said that on its occasion of 7th foundation day, the student body has donated notebooks, pens etc to the inmates of the Home who are the future pillars of the society.
Stating the student body will continue to work earnestly for the welfare of the students in the State, he maintained that SSUM will contribute earnestly for an egalitarian society by strictly following the ideals and principles of eminent leader, Lamyanba Hijam Irabot
As a part of its foundation day celebration, a blood donation camp was held at JNIMS on the theme 'Oja Singidamak Katthoklaba Ee' (Blood donated for the teachers).
