Holi festival held

IMPHAL, Mar 14: The Kangmong Sangeet Kala Mandal organised Holi Festival 2022 at its office building located at Nambol Kangmong Maisnam Leikai today.
The event was graced by Samom ongbi Manglembi Leima of Yarou Bamdiar Zilla Parishad, Padmashri Wareppa Naba, president of Theatre Centre Manipur, Sarungbam Biren, Director of Manipuri Theatre Academy and Budha Chingtham, eminent critic, playwright and cultural personality as the presidium members.
Speaking on the occasion, Padmashri Wareppa Naba said that those who uphold one's faith will not resort to violence and adhering to the ideals and teachings of one's religion will help in fostering peace in the society.
He also stressed on the importance of safeguarding the rituals of Holi festival which have been in place since ages.
As a part of the programme, Nupi Pala presented Holi songs.
