LMG Manipur provides monetary aid

IMPHAL, Mar 13: Like Minded Group (LMG) Manipur has provided a monetary assistance of Rs 78,000 to the founder and publicity secretary of LMG, Rakesh Naorem and his brother from Tentha Khongbal under Wangjing Tentha AC whose houses were gutted on the night of March 4.
The assistance was provided in the presence of L Kunjeshwor, president of LMG along with Sorokhaibam Ojit, secretary; Ranibala Ningombam assistant secretary; Rosan Moirangthem, executive member; Bihari Waikhom, Dr Eteen Maibam, Salam Babina, Sobita Maibam, Manihar Sapam, Surjit Ngangom, Ibochouba Takhellambam, Rameshwor Elangbam, Boinao Maibam and other important members of the Group.
Speaking on the occasion, Sorokhaibam Ojit shared that this was the Group's 43rd aid extension event.
Denouncing the recent cases of poll related violence, Ojit called the act of arson as a heinous crime and stressed on the need to support the victims of such unfortunate incidents.
He also stated that LMG will never discriminate against people based on religion or ethnicity and neither will the Group view people through the narrow lens of politics.
Instead, LMG will continue to provide aid and support the people who need it the most, he added.
Ojit further urged the public to become members of LMG and donate an amount of Rs 100 per month to help them in their goal to support the needy.
The family of Rakesh Naorem also expressed their heartfelt gratitude towards LMG for their kind gesture.
Stating that he was one of the founders of LMG, Rakesh Naorem expressed his happiness at being a part of such humanitarian service.
He also extended his gratitude to LMG and urged all to refrain from such acts in the future.
