Cough syrup seized

IMPHAL, Feb 8 : A combined team of Narcotic Cell Imphal West and Imphal West commando arrested  Oinam Ratan (36) along with 5880 bottles of Phensegrip cough syrup worth Rs 20 lakh  from Tera Khuraijam Leirak this morning.
This information was relayed by IPS Ksh Shivakanta, SP, Imphal West during a press conference held at SP Imphal West complex this afternoon.
Briefing the media persons, the SP stated that the cough syrups were seized from the house of Longjam Premjit @ Goroba (36) of Tera Khuraijam Leirak.
Reportedly, the cough syrups belong to one Oinam Ratan of Kwakeithel Moirang Purel and hence he was arrested while the items were seized. Ratan revealed that the cough syrups were supposed to be delivered at Lilong.
