Lokayukta directs

IMPHAL, Feb 7 : The Manipur Lokayukta has named the SP of Kakching police as the Investigation Officer and directed him to investigate a case of 2020 against 12 officials of MSPCL and an Electronic company based at Gurgaon based on a complaint filed by an individual to the Lokayukta and asked the IO to finalise the probe within 6 months, from the date of registration of the case at the Crime Branch.
The case pertains to the installation of a 2x1MVA, 33 Kv sub-station along with the associated 33 Kv line and related works at Chakpikarong in Chandel under a work order dated September 25, 2009.
The Lokayukta has also ordered the transfer of some key officials of MSPCL from their present posting so that no undue influence is exerted in the investigation of the case.
