Ram Muivah releases "Vision document"

Ukhrul, Feb 6: Ramnganing Muivah's vision document to transform Ukhrul District particularly Ukhrul Assembly Constituency was released on Sunday at Greenland, Ukhrul.
Rev Fr Mayopam Gabriel Parish Priest invoked blessing by sprinkling holy water upon Ramnganing Muivah to bring victory in the forthcoming election in the presence of Tangkhul CSO leaders, party leaders, supporters and well wishers.
During the programme, Ram Muivah, IAS (retired), elaborated the details of his vision document.
According to him, the mission and his goals are set in three ways namely short, medium and long term for Ukhrul district.
The retired IAS mentioned that it will be his endeavour to bring an end to corruption and promote corruption free administration to ensure good governance.
He also assured to resolve the issue of water scarcity in Ukhrul town by augmenting hydro projects from Mapum and Zingsui rivers.
Agriculture and allied sectors, basic infrastructure & utilities, Ukhrul as tourist destination, Human Resource development and Sports are also highlighted in the vision document.
Ram Muivah further reiterated that his objective of joining electoral politics is to serve the motherland and dedicate his life for the people to show gratitude to the Almighty God for the bountiful blessing.
It may be mentioned that Ram Muivah will contest the upcoming 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly Election from 44-Ukhrul AC  as a NPF candidate. He would be contesting with BJP candidate, Somatai Shaiza and sitting MLA, Alfred Kanngam Arthur.
The Vision document was released by Tangkhul Women League president, Veronica Zingkhai while the  programme was moderated by AR Mathing, former Miss Manipur.
