O Romen denounces

IMPHAL, Feb 3: The National People's Party (NPP) candidate from Singjamei Assembly Constituency, Oinam Romen Singh has categorically stated that threatening his supporters cannot slow down the pace of his winning instead it will help him in gaining more public support.
Briefing media persons at the sidelines of the sit-in-protest held today at Singjamei Mayengbam Leikai against the  yesterday night's incident where his supporters were intimidated using gun and muscle power and condemned the incident in the strongest term.
Asserting that the public is well aware of the happening in the constituency, he maintained that the election cannot be won through muscle power or gun culture.
He further stated that he is contesting the election with the sole objective of serving the people of Singjamei AC selflessly.
Lastly he appealed to all exercise their franchise wisely and to elect the deserving and eligible candidate from Singjamei AC.
