IMPHAL, Feb 24: The oath taking ceremony of B.Sc 1st year students (2021-2022 batch) cum Fresher's Meet of B.Sc 1st year and M.Sc 1st year students (2021-22 batch) of the College of Nursing, Medical Directorate was held today.
The programme which was held in the conference hall of College of Nursing was graced by Dr K Rajo Singh, Director of Health Services, Professor N Nalinibala Devi, Principal of College of Nursing and Lalbiekmoi, Joint Director of Nursing as the presidium members.
A total of 46 students took part in the oath taking and lamp lighting ceremony.
Also the fourth edition of Siroy Lily magazine (2021-22) was released today.
Speaking as the chief guest, Dr K Rajo stressed on the importance of nurses in the society and appealed to all the nurses to deliver their duties selflessly.
Expressing that nursing is the backbone of the medical profession, he stated that medical science is incomplete without the contributions of the nurses as they tend to the needs of the patients with care and affection
The Director further lauded the dedicated role of the nurses during the grim phase of COVID-19 pandemic.
He also informed that the College of Nursing is the only institute in the State which started the M.Sc of Nursing courses.
