URFM boycotts

IMPHAL, Feb 20 : United People's Revolutionary Front of Manipur (UPRFM) has called for a State-wide total shutdown from 1 am of February 22  against Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the State slated for the same day.
In a statement, UPRFM shared that the total shutdown will continue till the time the Prime Minister leaves Manipur.
UPRFM stated that the PM's frequent visits to the State has not brought any improvement in the lives of the people of Manipur and instead only led to the spread of false propaganda in their effort to maintain control over the land. The statement further advised the people to not expect any positive outcomes from the PM's visit.
Regarding the total shutdown, UPRFM further shared that persons involved in emergency services, media and religious events are exempted from the shutdown.
