2 hurt in blast

IMPHAL, Feb 20 : At least two personnel of ITBP on election duty were injured in a bomb attack at Wangoo, Kakching at around 7.40 pm today.
The explosion took place on a road stretch which connects Wangoo Lamkhai and Wangoo while the ITBP personnel were patrolling, said a source.
It is reported that the injured personnel have been admitted to Jivan Hospital by a team of Wangoo police.
Stray violence has marred the run up to the Assembly election which will be held in two phases, on February 28 and March 5.
A person was killed in a firing incident in December last year while the father of a candidate was shot and wounded on February 19.
