CARD organises training programme

THOUBAL, Feb 18: The inaugural function of "One Month Swavalamban Kaushal Unnayan Programme on Make-Up and Hair Styling" was held on February 17 at the Conference Hall of Council for Advancement of Rural Development, (CARD).
 The training programme was organised by CARD, Thoubal Kshetri Leikai and supported by Small Industries Development Bank of India, Imphal.
 It was attended by Y Raghumani Singh, retd General Manager, District Industries Centre, Govt of Manipur as chief guest; P Loken Singh, Chairman, Manipur Industries Development Council, (MIDC) Imphal as guest of honour and Vikram Kumar, branch in-charge Small Industries Development Bank of India, Imphal as president of the function and W Rakesh Singh, secretary, Council for Advancement of Rural Development, Thoubal Kshetri Leikai among others.
30 young women and girls from different villages of Thoubal district participated in the training programme.
The objective of the training programme is to give knowledge and basic information of make-up and hair styling and to generate employment.
The programme culminated with a vote of thanks by Th Netaji Meitei, president KRC, Thoubal Kshetri Leikai.
