Ranji Trophy 2021-22 Manipur trail by 24 runs on Day 1
KOLKATA, Feb 17: Manipur trailed by 24 runs to Arunachal Pradesh at the end of Day 1 at the ongoing Sr Men's Ranji Trophy 2021-22 being played at CCFC Ground in Kolkata.
Winning the toss and opting to bat first, Arunachal captain Obi scored 61 off 152 balls while other batsmen RB Bishnoi Jr (13 off 21 balls), Kamsha Yangfo (13 off 45 balls) and Techi Neri (12 off 27 balls) were other contributors as they ended the first innings with 119 in 57 overs with a fall of 10 wickets.
Manipuri bowlers showed an impressive bowling spell as Kishan Singha took 4 wickets in 11 overs and giving away just 11 runs; Rex gave away 50 runs in 13 overs and took 2 wickets; Bishworjit took 2 wickets in 14 overs and gave 21 runs; Priyojit took one wicket in 12.1 overs and 12 runs while Th Kishan gave away 20 runs in 6.5 overs and 1 wicket.
Opening the second inning with Al Bashid, Bonny Ch was sent back to the pavilion after scoring 35 runs in 63 balls. Al Bashid and Langlonyamba M scored 41 off 96 balls and 11 off 39 balls respectively at the end of the day to tally a total of 95 runs off 33 overs with a fall of 1 wicket.
