WMC resolves

IMPHAL, Feb 17 : Following talks between the Government of Mizoram and the World Meetei Council on February 15 at Mizoram House in New Delhi it was resolved that the alleged murder case of Keisham Prabin Singha in Mizoram on January 31 and ‘mysterious death’ of Namram Nipen Singha on February 8 also in Mizoram would be handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
In reciprocity, WMC agreed to withdraw the proposed blockade that was to come into force on Silchar-Aizawl National Highway from February 21, the day of the last rites of the 2nd victim. WMC will however keep on following up on the issue to ensure that justice is delivered.
