RO Khangabok AC informs

THOUBAL, Feb 14
The Returning Officer of 35-Khangabok Assembly Constituency has informed that as per schedule, scrutiny of nomination paper in respect of 35-Khangabok AC was carried out on February 14.
In a release, the RO stated that upon examination of nomination papers of all intending candidates, the one filed by Haji Asraf Ali was found not in accordance with Section 33(A) (2) and Section 34 of the Representation of the People's Act 1951.
The said nomination paper was submitted to the RO on the last date of filing nomination of February 11. It was submitted without Form 26 (Affidavit) and was not delivered on time. The security deposit was also not paid by the intending candidate, it added.
The RO further informed that the nomination paper of Haji Asraf Ali was rejected due to non compliance of the said Sections of RP Act 1951.
