Sky Hospital observes 7th anniversary of first open heart surgery

IMPHAL, Dec 29: The observation of '7th anniversary of Manipur's First Open Heart Surgery and Device Closure/EPS+RFA'  performed at Sky Hospital and Research Centre Private Limited was held today at the Hospital located at RIMS Road.
Addressing media persons during a press meet held in connection with the observation at the conference hall of the hospital, Chairman cum Chief Cardiologist, Dr L Shyamkishore said that it was a historical moment for Manipur when Sky Hospital had performed the open heart surgery and EPS+RFA successfully in 2015.
He maintained that the patients of the State need not go to other States for heart complications or surgeries since various heart problems are being treated and surgeries are being performed in Sky Hospital.
Ever since its inception, Sky Hospital has been treating many heart complications and around 174 heart hole device closure has been successfully performed till date, he added.
Additionally, heart surgeries of around 60 adult patients have also been performed, he said.
