IMPHAL, Dec 13: The 50th Annual College Week 2022-23 of DM College of Teacher Education (DMCTE) Imphal was inaugurated by its Principal Dr RK Lokendra Singh today.
The DMCTE annual college week which will be held for six days is being organised by the Trainees Union DM College of Teacher Education.
The inaugural function was also attended by Dr Konika Khuraijam, Associate Professor as the special guest.
While speaking at the occasion, Dr RK Lokendra Singh underscored the importance of giving special focus on co-curricular activities among the students apart from the academic knowledge so as to enhance the social and personal skills.
He further stated that the annual college week will also provide a platform to interact and exchange ideas among the students of different communities of the college.
With regards to taking up sports activities among the students, he expressed that the students will be able to lead a disciplined and healthy lifestyle if they indulge themselves in various sports activities. The Principal further stated that the annual college week is being held to showcase the talents of the teacher trainees through literary meet, cultural meet and sports meet to be held during the week and called for support from all for the success of the annual college week.
For today, march-past competition and literary competition was held among the four houses of the college.
As a part of today's programme, a souvenir was also released.
