Reception ceremony of participants of 3rd EMRS National Cultural Fest, 2022 held

The reception programme for the participants of Eklavya Model Residential School (EMRS) Moreh, Sapormeina and Tamenglong, who represented Manipur at the recently concluded 3rd EMRS National Cultural Fest, 2022 was held at the conference hall of the Directorate of Tribal Affairs and Hills, Babupara.
The 3rd EMRS National Cultural Fest, 2022 was held at Art of Living Centre, Bengaluru from October 31 to November 2, 2022, said a press release by the Member Secretary, Manipur Society for Tribal Educational Institution (MSTEI).
The reception programme was attended by Hungyo Worshang, Director (TA & Hills), Manipur and ST Rithung Anal, Additional Director (TA & Hills), Manipur along with principals, students, teachers and staff of EMRS schools.
The participants were accorded a warm welcome and extended best wishes for their future endeavours.
The EMRS Manipur team won four prizes namely first prize in Tribal Cultural dance, first Prize in Elocution Junior (English) category, second prize in Elocution Senior (Hindi) category and third prize in Tribal Cultural Song competition.
It is the first time that students of Eklavya Model Residential School (EMRS), Manipur participated at the National Cultural Fest.
The Department of Tribal Affairs & Hills, Government of Manipur congratulated all the students and teachers, who had represented the State and brought laurels.
It may be mentioned that there are three EMRS in Manipur - Moreh, Sapormeina & Tamenglong, which are fully funded by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India.
