MEELAL expresses discontent over alleged exclusion of Meetei Mayek in State related programmes

IMPHAL, Nov 10: Alleging exclusion of Meetei Mayek in State related programmes, Meetei Erol Eyek Loinasillol Apunba Lup (MEELAL) Kangleipak has called for an end to such treatment.
This sentiment was expressed by L Jeebanmala Leima, advisor, MEELAL Kangleipak during the valedictory ceremony of a month-long Meetei Mayek training programme jointly organised by MEELAL and Manipur People's Party (MPP) at the latter's conference hall today.
Speaking on the occasion, L Jeebanmala Leima expressed discontent over the alleged exclusion of Meetei Mayek in State related programmes.
In this regard, she highlighted the poster of the upcoming Sangai festival and pointed out barely legible and tiny Meetei Mayek letters just beside the 'Kanglasha'.    
Expressing unhappiness over the lack of concern towards Meitei Mayek, she appealed to the Government for an end to such lackadaisical treatment.
K Krishnachandra, senior vice-president, MPP underscored the need for people to learn the Meetei Mayek script and expressed gratitude towards MEELAL for their relentless efforts towards upliftment of Meetei Mayek.
Oinam Keinahanbi Leima, vice president MEELAL was also present at the event.
