Tributes paid to Shumang Leela female artist, late Namoijam Lata Leima

IMPHAL, Oct 29: Tributes were paid to renowned Shumang Leela female artist, Late Namoijam Lata Leima from Maharabi Awang Leikai, Imphal West today.
A State level condolence ceremony was held today to condole the untimely demise of Late Namoijam Lata Leima organised by Manipur State Shumang Leela Council.
The condolence ceremony was attended by Manipur State Shumang Leela Council Advisor, L Tarpon; president M Purnimashi Leima and lifetime president, Ph Gunachandra Sharma as the presidium members. Shumang Leela artists, members of the council and well wishers also attended the ceremony. During the ceremony, the attendees recalled the numerous contributions of the late artist who worked sincerely for the upliftment of Nupi Shumang Leela and prayed for the peace of the departed soul.
It may be noted that Late Namoijam Lata Leima was associated with Chanura Jatra Association for a long time before joining the Kangjabi Meitei Chanu cum Drama Association.
