IPSA conducts cleanliness drive

BISHNUPUR, Jan 9: With the aim of maintaining cleanliness in and around the neighbouring areas of Moirang, International Peace and Social Advancement (IPSA), Moirang branch, on Sunday conducted a cleanliness drive along Sendra road.
IPSA carried out the cleanliness drive to address the mounting pile of garbage left behind by tourists and visitors from within the State and beyond, who visited the sites of Sendra and Loktak.
Speaking to media persons, Nongmaithem Geetchandra, president IPSA stated that if the garbage left behind by tourists at Loktak are not promptly removed it might threaten the existence of Loktak lake.
IPSA, Moirang branch also appreciated Moirang Municipality Council for providing the vehicles to dispose off the garbage collected during the cleanliness drive.
