Sports meet inaugurated

SENAPATI, Jan 4: Caretaker chairman of ADC Senapati flagged off the Zeme Students and Youth Organisation Sports Meet and Olympic Torch Relay today at Tamphung village in presence of MS Jerome.
The sports meet was organised in a run up to the forthcoming mega event organised by the Senapati District Olympic Association Manipur (SDOAM) to be held from January 17 to January 22 at Mini Stadium Senapati under the theme 'Rise and Shine'.
The Olympic Torch Relay will reportedly pass through the hinterland of the five tribes of Zeliangroing, Maram, Thangal, Poumai and Mao.
