FIPRESCI conducts National seminar

IMPHAL, Jan 3: FIPRESCI-India Chapter of the International Federation of Film Critics organised an online National Open Seminar yesterday regarding the Government's decision to close down the Films Division, National Film Archive of India, Children's Film Society of India and  the Directorate of Film Festivals by the end of January 2022.
These film bodies will be merged with the National Film Development Corporation. VK Joseph, president of FIPRESCI-India Chapter chaired the seminar and different prominent personalities like Rahul Rawail, Amrit Gangar, CS Venketeswaran, Anil Zankar, Priya Chakravarthy, Sunny Joseph, Shilpi Gulati amongst others deliberated various aspects of the issue, said a statement issued by FIPRESCI-India Chapter. The seminar resolved to form a committee soon to take it to the students of different film schools, film industry people and fil lovers to apprise the committee about the contributions of these film bodies and also demand the disclosure of the report of the Expert Committee.
