Committee clarifies

IMPHAL, Jan 23 : Bengoon Maning Awang Development Committee has clarified that reports of the father of Deputy Speaker Kongkham Robindro threatening people to vote for BJP are unfounded.
Md Bhuyanmayum Akhtana said this at a press conference held at Bengoon Maning Awang Bhuya Leikai and alleged that some people had conspired to defame the BJP intending candidate and Deputy Speaker of Manipur Legislative Assembly Kongkham Robindro.
He added that K Manglem, father of K Robindro never visited the residence of Md Liyaqat of Bengoon Awang Bhuya Leikai and threatened to kill him if he didn't vote for BJP. He ridiculed the claim as a deliberate attempt to malign the image of a reputed social worker and said the public of the area are the witness that no such threats were given by K Manglem.
