Bail approved

IMPHAL, Jan 19 : Special Judge NIA Manipur has granted bail to UKLF chairman Lhukoson Haokip alias Soson in the arms missing case from 2nd MR, on health grounds today.
The Court after hearing the bail application remarked that NIA had failed to produce any document to substantiate that the accused was not cooperating with the investigation and as the accused had surrendered before the Court on September 16, 2019, there was no  apprehension for absconding.
The Court ordered that the interim bail granted to the accused on September 21, 2019 was made absolute on the condition that the accused shall cooperate in the investigation and shall not leave the State without permission from the Court.
Mention may be made that self styled chairman of Unite Kuki Liberation Front (UKLF), Lhunkhoson Haokip alias Soson alias SS Haokip was declared a 'proclaimed offender by the Court on August 27, 2019 and had surrendered before the Court on September 16, 2019.
