The Dean of College of Agri culture (COA), Iroisemba, Central Agricultural University (CAU) has informed to all the Beekeeping farmers/organisations of the State to enjoy the benefit of the Honey Processing Unit located in its campus for processing raw honey in order to get good quality honey with all the constituents in proper manner and long storability.
The Dean in a press note further informed that the charge of raw honey processing in the unit is only Rs 50 per kg and the raw honey which has to be processed should be at minimum of 30 kg and maximum of upto 500 kg for one time processing.
The beekeeping farmers and organisations can also sell the processed honey at the Centre at Rs 600 per kg, added the press note.

It may be noted that Honey Processing Unit (one 250 kg capacity and another 500 kg capacity) was established by IBDC (Centre of Excellence) which is funded by National Bee Board (NBB) was incepted in the campus of COA, CAU in 2017 for the benefit of Beekeeping farmers in North East region in general and Manipur in particular.
