Office locked

IMPHAL, Jan 17 : The office of MANIREDA at North AOC has been locked by start-up entrepreneurs working under it in installing roof-top solar plants for non-payment of beneficiary share.
Speaking to media, L Albert, proprietor of North East Power Infra Company which is one of the firms working under the Manipur Renewable Energy Development Agency (MANIREDA), said under the aim of installing enough roof-top solar plant to produce 1000 MW of power by 2022, about 10 different firms had been working under MANIREDA on the project in the State to produce 3 MW.
The firms had already completed the installation to produce 3 MW power in 2020 already, however MANIREDA has not released the fund meant for the beneficiary companies even after 2 years.
He appealed MANIREDA to release the beneficiary shares at the earliest.
