AIFUCTO meet
IMPHAL, Jan 16 : A 5 member team of All Manipur College Teachers' Association (AMCTA) returned to Imphal after attending the XXXI Statutory Conference of All India Federation of University & College Teachers' Organizations (AIFUCTO).
As per a statement from AMCTA, the conference was held at SV University, Tirupati from January 7-9. Further, a National seminar on the theme of "NEP 2020 & the future of Higher Education- Post Covid Scenario" was also conducted according to the statement.
The five delegates who represented Manipur are M Lokendro Singh, Oriental College (president), Th Nabachandra Singh, Churachandpur College (VP), Dr M Imocha Singh, Modern College (general secretary), P Priyokumar Singh, CI College (joint secretary) and Dr Th Manglem Singh, Modern College (executive member).
During the course of the conference, M Lokendro was re-elected as the National Secretary of AIFUCTO for the 2021-23 term, the statement informed.
Further, the statement added that during the session, Dr M Imocha laid down the issues and grievances of college teachers of Manipur which include withdrawal of NEP 2020 and NPS and restoration of the Old Pension Scheme among others.
