Amra Bangali condemned

The Devalaya Committee, Kalibari on behalf of Bengali people living in Imphal condemned the filing of a case in Supreme Court by a Kolkata based association named 'Amra Bangali' against the implementation of Inner Line Permit System (ILPS) in Manipur.
The Devalaya Committee in a press release maintained that they support the implementation of Inner Line Permit System in Manipur to safeguard the socio-economic, cultural and political fabric of the natives of Manipur.
Stating that 'Amra Bangali' is trying to divide and fragment the solidarity of Bengali with the people of Manipur, the Bengali people of Manipur (Imphal-Greater Imphal) clarified that they have no relation and have never acquainted with the said organisation.
The people of Bengali community in the State further declared that no hindrance are being faced by any person from any organisation during movement to and fro from Manipur and other States by road or other means, added the press release.
