Teachers' day greeting

IMPHAL, Sep 4 : Chief Minister N Biren Singh  and Speaker of Manipur Legislative Assembly, Y Khemchand Singh led in wishing all the teachers on the occasion of Teachers' Day.
Chief Minister N Biren Singh said in his message that Teachers' Day is celebrated on September 5 every year on the birth anniversary of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, former President of India. He added that teachers play a profound role in shaping society as they inform, influence, educate and enlighten the minds of the students.
He paid his tribute to all the teachers and said teaching is a noble profession shaping character and future of a country.
Y Khemchand Singh said in a message that Teachers' Day is celebrated in honour of their sacrifice and dedication in shaping the fate of students.
The Education Minister also extended his wish to all the teachers on the occasion and appealed to all the teachers to be ready for the new challenges.
