CM greets

IMPHAL, Sep 29 : Chief Minister N Biren Singh has greeted the people of Manipur on the occasion of the 125th birth anniversary of Lamyanba Hijam Irabot, which falls on September 30.
In his greeting, N Biren said that Hijam Irabot was a renowned freedom fighter, politician, social reformer and a socio-economic activist to the core.
Saying that his role in the 2nd Nupi Lan against  the British colonial forces will always be remembered, the Chief Minister continued that the Lamyanba also made  great sacrifices for the welfare of the masses and upliftment of the society.
He then paid his homage to the selfless leader on his  birth anniversary.
