'Bomb-fitted stars' found

IMPHAL, Sep 25 : Two bombs were found fitted inside  star-shaped objects this wee hours at Khongman Okram Chuthek and Khongman Zone-III under Irilbung police station.
According to sources, a team of Irilbung police found  one IED bomb weighing about 3.5 kg fitted inside a star-shaped object in red colour at Khongman Okram Chuthek at around 12.20 am.
The second bomb was found about a kilometre away from the first site in a canal at Khongman Zone-III. The first bomb was disposed of safely at Awa Ching in Imphal East by a bomb disposal squad of Manipur police at around 6.25 am.
The second bomb on the other hand was found to be a dummy and was dismantled thereafter, said police.
