MHRC directs

IMPHAL, Sep 21 : The Manipur Human Rights Commission (MHRC) has directed the Superintendent of Police Thoubal district to ensure that SI Manikhomba of Lilong PS and LC of the same PS appear in person in front of the commission on September 23 at 12.30 pm.
MHRC directed this in an order issued today based on the complaint of one M Dhananjoy and M Chingthoisana alleging that the said Sub-inspector had called them to the Police Station on September 20 and when they reached there, they were detained without any food or water till 10 pm.
The complainants further alleged that the officer had also intimated them to withdraw a case they had filed and took their signature forcibly, added the order.
