AMTUC objects

All Manipur Trade Unions Council (AMTUC), Babupara, a constituent wing of the Joint Administrative Council (JAC) of AMTUC and All Manipur Government Employees Organisation (AMGEO) strongly objected the registration of another union bearing the same name and title.
General Secretary of AMTUC, Rajkumar Basumani Singh wrote a letter in this regard to the Registrar of Trade Unions, Manipur today informing about the objection against the registration of All Manipur Trade Unions Council (AMTUC), Lamphel Sana Keithel, Imphal West in accordance with the notification issued by the Registrar of Trade Unions dated September 17, 2021 in local dailies calling for any objection on the same.
The letter further mentioned that the JAC of AMTUC and AMGEO, Manipur is the only apex organisation comprising of all the employees, workers under the Manipur State Government which have been recognised by the State and moreover the body has been existing since the early 1970s and in operation with its head office at Babupara. Therefore AMTUC requested the Registrar of Trade Unions Manipur to look into the matter and to ensure that the registration proposal submitted by another organisation bearing the same name and title is not entertained in order to avoid any duplicacy.
