14 join BJP

IMPHAL, Sep 2: Altogether 14 members of Indian National Congress and NEIDP from Phungyar Assembly Constituency  joined Bharatiya Janata Party, today.
The new BJP members include treasurer of the District Member Committee, Congress Jonah Shinglai, Youth Assembly Congress Committee’s general secretary MC Candid, vice president Wungnaongam Keishing and NEIDP’s member Ngannaomi Kasar.   BJP, Manipur Pradesh president A Sharda Devi, general secretary (organization) Abhay Kumar Giri, vice presidents N Nimbus and Ch Chidananda accorded a warm welcome to the new members during a reception programme held today at the party office at Nityaipat Chuthek . Briefing the media, Sharda claimed that the BJP has been carrying out developmental activities in every part of the State.
Exuding confidence that BJP, Manipur Pradesh would be strengthened with the joining of the new members, she appealed to the new members to focus on winning the hearts of the public. The BJP president added that the political party will not be able to do anything without the support and cooperation of the people.
