IMPHAL, Sep 13 : The low count continues with Manipur logging 136 new cases in the last 24 hours. This is the lowest surge in the last 142 days, with the State reporting a spike of 130 new cases on April 24.
This is also the second successive day that Manipur has reported under 200 new cases, with September 12 recording 195 new cases.
The daily positivity rate also came down to 7.1 percent with Kamjong recording the highest rate at 25 percent with one person returning positive result out of 4 persons tested in the last 24 hours.
Imphal East was next with 13.2 percent daily positivity rate with 49 persons testing positive out of 372 samples tested in the last 24 hours. Ukhrul continues to log above the 10 percent mark with 12.3 percent in the last 24 hours with 7 persons testing positive out of 57 samples tested. Kakching also returned a daily positivity rate of  10.6 percent with 7 out of 66 samples tested returning positive results.
None tested positive at Noney, Pherzawl and Tengnoupal in the last 24 hours.
The 136 positive results were detected out of 1909 samples tested in the last 24 hours.
Of the 136 persons who tested positive in the last 24 hours, one is a Central security personnel.
The 136 positive cases were detected during testing at RIMS (4), JNIMS (6) and other testing centres (126).
The 135 positive cases from amongst the civil population are drawn from Imphal East (49), Imphal West (38), Thoubal (7), Bishnupur (7), Kakching (7), Ukhrul (7), Churachandpur (3), Chandel (2), Senapati (8), Tamenglong (3), Kamjong (1) and Kangpokpi (3).
On the other hand, the State Level COVID-19 Deaths Audit Committee reported one death due to the virus in the last 24 hours, said the COVID-19 Common Control Room. The deceased belonged to Thoubal, it said and added that he was not vaccinated.
On the other hand 265 persons were discharged in the last 24 hours from home isolation (77), RIMS (7), JNIMS (15), CCCs (85) and CHICs (81).
The total number of discharged persons is 1,12,801 including 4133 Central security personnel and the recovery rate now stands at 96.22 percent.
The cumulative number of positive cases has now gone up to 1,17,230 including 4172 Central security personnel.
The number of active cases is 2,617 inclusive of 34 security personnel.
On September 12, 699 people received their vaccination shots and the total number of people who have received the vaccination shot is 15,94,555 including 3,93,833 who have received their second dose.
In the last 24 hours a total of 1205 D Type Oxygen cylinders and 244 B Type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health centres across the State.
