Zeliangrong Baudi clarifies
IMPHAL, Sep 10
The Zeliangrong Baudi (Assam, Manipur & Nagaland) has clarified in connection to the frequent participation of Athuan Abonmai, who was the former president of Zeliangrong Baudi (AMN) in discussion or debate pertaining to some sensitive social and political issue from time to time on different TV channels operating in Manipur.
A press release issued by K Akhnag, president Zeliangrong Baudi (AMN), informed that Athuan Abonmai, who was introduced as the advisor of Zeliangrong Baudi before the commencement of every discussion or debate, shared his own personal opinion and does not relate to Zeliangrong Baudi or Zeliangrong people.
It stated that the position of an advisor is purely honorary and does not empower any executive power, responsibilities and obligations. There is no role and power of an advisor of any organisation to speak on behalf of the organisation and its people until and unless authorised by the existing and incumbent executives.
It further mentioned that the Zeliangrong Baudi had already served Athuan Abonmai a 'Caution letter' to be more cautious and not to misuse the position of an advisor.
