Tree plantation drive held

IMPHAL, Aug 29: The Lions Club of Imphal Greater organised a one day tree plantation drive at the premises of Manipur Legislative Assembly today.
The programme was organised under the Lions Club International's global cause- Conservation and Preservation of Environment.
Y Khemchand, Speaker of Manipur Legislative Assembly inaugurated the tree plantation drive by planting a tree sapling in the campus.
Altogether, 50 fruit bearing tree saplings were planted in the said drive.
It was participated by Lion M Gojendra Singh, past District Governor of Lions Club International District 322D; Lion Ashok Konjengbam, president Lions Club of Greater and other key members of the club.
