Hawkers' Day

Imphal, Aug 25: Manipur Hawkers' Association (MHA) observed the 40th Hawkers' Day on Wednesday at Kala Bidya Bhavan, Khurai Thongam Leikai.
At the observance graced by MHA president Wangkhemcha Ajit, advisor K Ibotomba and K Raghu as presidium members, floral tributes were offered to the portrait of its deceased founding members and hawkers.
Speaking at the occasion, Ajit said that MHA was registered in 1981.  
Saying that hawkers always deliver newspapers to readers amidst the Covid pandemic, Ajit said that some people seeing hawkers as Covid spreaders is disheartening.
He appealed to all hawkers to continue serving people with dedication.
The MHA president also lauded the subscribers who support hawkers amidst this difficult time.
