Only BJP can develop Manipur : Biswajit

IMPHAL, Jul 8 : Expressing confidence that all sitting BJP MLAs will return in upcoming State Assembly election, Works Minister Thongam Biswajit has categorically stated that no political party other than BJP can help Manipur develop.
The Works Minister made the statement during a 'Covid Vaccination Awareness Programme' organised at Singjamei Wangma Mongkhang Lambi.
The Minister continued that Manipur has seen many political parties but there has never been such progress as it has seen during the four years rule of BJP led Government.
The Minister also took pride in having constructed roads connecting cities and villages in an unprecedented manner during a short span and questioned when has development of such magnitude happened earlier.
Biswajit also highlighted the provision of relief rice to the poor for months under Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana in the wake of hardships induced by the Covid pandemic and the ongoing free Covid vaccination programme across the country.
While calling upon people of Thongju Assembly Constituency to follow development oriented agendas, the Minister stated that the BJP led Government is now focused on generating employment for youths and in improving household economy.
He also maintained that the Central Government also deserves all praise for inducting RK Ranjan as the Union Minister of State for External Affairs and Education and for continued support and communication with State functionaries on issues pertaining to the State.
Biswajit who is also the Thongju AC MLA, said that he is strongly committed to make his AC a 'Model Constituency' and appealed all to shun parochial thoughts and to work towards equitable development.
He also expressed that every household of the AC is set to get potable water as promised and all projects relating to it are nearing its completion.
The Minister stated that the State Assembly election held every 5 years is very crucial in determining the fate of an Assembly segment and accepted the fact that there can be dissent and difference in opinions on various matters undertaken by him but called for positive criticism to correct and make things better.
While taking note of the vaccination process in the Thongju Assembly segment, he also called upon people to come out and get vaccinated to facilitate the State Government's efforts to defeat the pandemic.
He also dispelled myths and rumours surrounding Covid vaccine and highlighted positive sides of the vaccination.
The awareness programme was also attended by officials from various healthcare facilities in Thongju AC.
Similar awareness drive was also organised at Shin Shuba Shanglen at Bashikhong.
